I have not posted anything on here for about a month, and it will be as long before I do again. I keep wishing I could post more, but I’m not going to apologise as I am now right into exam time, so having to do lots of revision. I hope anyone who reads my blog will still come back when I get going with it again, as I have a long summer ahead of me with lots of ideas to write about.
But I wanted to post today to acknowledge that this weekend marks the first anniversary of creating this blog! (Cue party poppers and balloons.) I say this weekend because, although I technically didn’t post anything until the 17th, from my point of view it was late on the Friday evening, the 16th, which I remember because I was upstairs having been revising in my sister’s room (as I am now), hiding from my mum’s birthday party downstairs. It’s been a big year for me, and I have been loving recording my life and random thoughts in this blog and intend to continue for many years to come.
Since I last posted I have turned 18, which I’m still getting used to and was quite strange, but I had two amazing weekends celebrating my birthday, and a nice reminder of how much my friends all mean to me (and how much I’m going to miss them when we all move away!). I’ve successfully used my ID to buy alcohol without just being laughed out of the shop, I have had my art exam as well as German and Italian oral exams (if you laughed at that then I am very disappointed in you), I have voted for the first time, been utterly devastated by the election results, I’ve been getting very stressed and emotional about exams, leaving college and going to Uni, and I’ve seen two of my closest friends join me in adulthood.
I probably won’t post again now until A-Levels are over, so masses of good luck to anyone sitting A-Levels, GCSEs, or any other exams this Spring/Summer, and I’ll see you on the other side.
